February 8, 2024 — The Gulf Coast Guitar Association (GCGA) proudly hosts Cuarteto de Guitarras de la Ciudad de México (Mexico City Guitar Quartet). The quartet was formed in 2001 with the objective of preserving and spreading contemporary concert music originally written for four guitars. Sayil López, César Lara, Joaquín Olivares and José Luis Segura were trained at the National School of Music of the UNAM. Their synergy on stage and concert repertoire provides musical enjoyment to a wide range of diverse audiences. Solo guitarists Jeremy García and Jay Kacherski are also appearing, to add a touch of classical, contemporary, and flamenco music. The concert is Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 5 pm in Ovations Night Club located at 2536 Times Boulevard Suite B, Houston, TX 77005. Advance tickets are available on-line at www.gcguitar.org.
